2021 Hangtown Health Protocols
We have been closely watching the data and the number of covid cases and hospitalizations in our region, and we are very pleased to see the drop that we are seeing. We expect the numbers to continue to improve over the next several weeks, and by the time Hangtown happens, we will be back to pre-Delta surge levels. It is definitely the outcome we were hoping for. While we are certainly NOT out of this pandemic, and while we’ve learned that no one can predict the twists and turns it will take, we are comfortable adapting our policies to the current situation as follows:

The following requirements apply to all festival attendees who have purchased or plan to purchase tickets. Staff, volunteers, artists and vendors will still require vaccination.
Proof of vaccination OR negative Molecular/PCR test within 72 hours of entry:
Upon arrival, attendees ages 5 and over must provide proof of full vaccination (two weeks after last dose) OR negative Molecular/PCR test taken within 72 hours of entry (home tests not accepted). 4 and under, no test required.
We are partnering with BindleApp to expedite proof of vaccinations (this does not apply to negative covid test). The quickest way to provide proof of vaccination is to create an Entry Pass on BindleApp.
Proof of vaccination may be provided one of three ways:
- Bindle App (instructions here) — **quickest processing upon arrival** (Bindle only available for 18+)
- CDC Vaccination card + photo ID
- Image of CDC vaccination card + photo ID
Proof of negative covid test:
- PDF of negative covid test + photo ID (print out or on phone)
Masking:
Masking is required in indoor spaces and on shuttles. We encourage you to spread out as much as possible and use your best judgment on masking in outdoor settings. Outdoors and fresh air are safer, but if you can’t distance, please wear your mask.
Hand Sanitation:
Hand sanitizers and hand wash stations will be plentiful around the festival site. We encourage frequent hand washing and sanitizing.
Social distancing:
We are changing the configuration of the vendors in the back of the meadow to increase access to the hill facing the stage for more viewing opportunities. In the campground, please be respectful of your neighbors and keep each other safe.
Symptom check:
Please check in with medical if you are showing any symptoms (Fever of 100+ degrees, cough, congestion, headache, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea, muscle ache, chills).
We will have rapid covid tests available on site. If you are experiencing any symptoms prior to attending, please get tested and/or choose to stay home.
FAQ
What types of tests do you accept?
Acceptable COVID tests include Molecular/PCR tests conducted by a testing center or lab. We cannot accept at-home/self-administered tests.
When should I get tested?
No earlier than 72 hours before arrival at the festival. If you are experiencing any symptoms prior to attending, please get tested and/or choose to stay home.
What if I arrive without proof of vaccination or negative test results?
You will not gain entry into the festival. You MUST bring one or the other in order to attend. Sorry, we are not able to offer testing at the gate.
